Tattooed Heart Fascinator Ahoy (2021 Edition)

The Tattooed Heart Fascinators were originally conceived in 2011 in the early days of Off With Her Head Millinery, a small heart shaped cotton fabric fascinator in a range of designs that took its inspiration from traditional tattoo imagery they were a design I loved creating. For the 10th Anniversary of these designs I decided to revisit them and give them an update look using some of the new skills I have learned along the way.

Navy Blue wool felt has been hand blocked in a 3D heart shape with a scroll of ivory wool felt featuring the word AHOY in bold lettering. Edged with bright red cord, with anchor emboridery and reef knot evoking traditional tattoo imagery around swathes of white veiling. Fully lined with polka dot cotton print fabric. Attaches with hat elastic.
