Off With her Head have been very lucky to work with some amazing models over the past couple of years and to say thanks to these stunning beauties each month we will be profiling one of our past models.

Starting with.... Miss December, the Lovely Lilah Doll!

At 5’ 3” this demure beauty from Budapest with her stunning platinum blonde locks was one of the first girls Off With Her Head has worked with.

Queeny: Hi Sweetie, hope your keeping well this chilly December! Congratulations on being chosen as Miss December!

Lilah: I'm flattered you picked me!

Q: You're not originally from the UK, tell us a bit about your hometown and what brought you to the UK.

L: I was born and raised in Budapest, Hungary until the age of 16. My mother was working for an international bank and when they decided to end their operations in Hungary, my mother got offered the same job in Amsterdam. Having spent over 6 years in Amsterdam really shaped my personality and my ambitions in life. After high school I studied to become a make-up artist, but just as I finished my course I got offered an opportunity to go on tour with Clan of Xymox. Since then I’ve been dreaming about getting back on stage and in front of the camera. Since I never dared to pursue acting when I was younger I decided, if I really wanted to make my dreams come true, I had to be in London. That was over 3 years ago and although I miss Amsterdam it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Q: So, how did you get into modelling?

L: The first time around or the second time? First time was when I was about 12 years old, done some modelling courses back in Hungary, got a portfolio done, but because of my height the agency that was organising these courses decided not to keep me on their books. So after many years of being terribly shy in front of the camera, one day Gothindulgence Photography came for a visit to Amsterdam, which is where I was living at the time, and since she was friends with my boyfriend at the time, she decided to drag us out to some castle ruins and take some pictures. It all started there, I was 18 at the time, since then we had many successful collaborations of course, and she has helped me a lot with furthering my career as a model.

Q: Tell us something unusual about yourself...

L: Something unusual, well, I’d have to say I’m unusually obsessed with food. Although I love to cook and bake (and eat everything I cook and bake), and I’m a definite foodie, at the same time I spend a lot of time reading about nutrition and diets and tried almost every diet I could find. Something else that’s unusual about me is that I love reading historical fiction books especially about the 100 year war. I am happiest spending time at home on the couch with a good book or a good movie (for which I much rely on my brother’s taste). And then the last bit of trivia about me, in my senior year in high school I was training with an opera singer and had to put together a live solo performance demo tape, which featured opera, musical and Hungarian folk songs.

Q: How many hats do you own?

L: Well, I only own about 3 hats, all made by you!

Q: You've worn a few of my hats for photo shoots in the past, so which has been your favourite?

L: I would have to say my favourite was the polka dot pillbox hat, we’ve done a shoot with in Brighton. Hence why I ordered it from you since. ;)

Q: What are your ambitions/plans for the future?

L: I want to be an actress, always dreamt about it, and after some much needed persuading from my friend Gothindulgence Photography, I started a course in January 2009. Since then I finished the beginner and advanced courses, and have become part of the Bubble & Squeak Collective, which is a group of actors, writers, directors, animators and we are having our first showcase this weekend. I would love to have the opportunity to become a successful actress in the future and to maybe have the opportunity to work with Quentin Tarantino once.

Q: I hear that you recently played the role of Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, how was that experience for you?

L: I love being on stage. Although having a Shakespeare play as my first real stage experience was quite a challenge and a lot of work, it was definitely all worth it and I had a great time with it.

Q: What photoshoots have you got planned next?

L: I have only one photoshoot planned at the moment, with Me-Chiel near Christmas time as I am going back to Holland Christmas. I won’t give any further details about this one though, as we are still in the process of finalizing details. For the rest, I am now taking bookings for 2010.

Q:How can people contact you for modelling/acting work?

L: At the moment for my modelling work, I prefer to be contacted either through my modelmayhem page www.modelmayhem.com/lilah or my myspace page which is www.myspace.com/lilah_v. For my acting, all enquiries should be sent to katalin.vig1@googlemail.com.

Q: Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. Hope you have a fantastic Xmas and a wonderful New Year! We look forward to working with you again next year!!

L: I'm looking forward to working with you again as well.
